The images above are were exterior graffiti. I photographed the large pictures then grabbed some detail pictures that appealed to me as interesting art. I walked around the whole building photographing images. There was areas that had been partly painted over then new marks and areas of colour were applied. These were the ones that interested me - I was excited to see layers and layers of paint creating wonderful 'paintings'. I loved the use of text and flat areas of paint, then areas of crossing out images then repainting over the top. I was recalling Jean Michel Basquiat's wonderful graffiti art which has been a great influence in my own work.
